Check-In and Check-Out:

Our standard check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 p.m. In case you you wish to request an early check-in or a late check-out, kindly contact our front desk. This service is subject to availability and may incur additional charges. If you are traveling from outside the UK, we are required by law to ask for your passport at check-in. If you do not have your passport, we reserve the right to refuse your reservation. We will retain this record for 12 months and may disclose it to a police officer or other official as required by law. This requirement applies to each member of your party over the age of 16. We reserve the right to refuse entry to The Roseate Edinburgh to anyone unable to provide this information.

Storage of luggage:

For your convenience, a luggage storage facility is available for early arrivals and late departures.

Age of Guests:

Please note that all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults during their stay. We reserve the right to refuse entry to The Roseate Edinburgh to anyone under the age of 18.

Rollaway Beds:

Rollaway beds are available at an additional tariff of £50 per night. Guests are requested to please place a request at the front office well in advance.

Airport Shuttle:

Our website provides information on the most convenient public transportation options available. However, should you wish to book a private car for airport transfers, our front office team will be delighted to assist you.

Parking Fee:

Guests are liable for any damage caused to rooms or public areas during their stay. We reserve the right to charge guests for the cost of repairing damage caused by deliberate, negligent, or reckless acts. If damage is discovered after departure, we reserve the right to charge the guest’s credit/debit card and send an invoice to the registered address. We will make every effort to minimize costs and rectify damage internally before involving specialists. In severe cases, guests may be liable for any loss of revenue while the room is being repaired.

Conduct:

We kindly ask all guests to accord due courtesy and respect to our team members at all times. Unwarranted harassment, abusive language, aggressive behaviour or any form of misconduct towards our team members will not be tolerated and could lead to legal consequences. The hotel has a duty to protect guests from inappropriate behaviour. The Duty Manager reserves the right to take action against any guest deemed to be behaving inappropriately. Depending on the severity, the police may be involved, or the guest may be asked to leave the hotel.

To ensure a comfortable experience for all, please refrain from making disturbing noise between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Guests must report any accidents or injuries to management within 24 hours of the incident. This is required for health and safety compliance and insurance purposes.

Accessibility:

The hotel has one accessible bedroom, which is subject to availability and must be requested in advance. Our dedicated staff is trained to assist you at all times.

Corporate Social Responsibility:

At The Roseate Edinburgh, we are committed towards our social and environmental responsibilities. We engage in initiatives that benefit both our community and the environment, and promote sustainable practices at every step of our operations.

Lost or Stolen Personal Items:

We strive to maintain a safe & secure environment within our hotel. In the event of lost or stolen items, please report the incident at our front desk immediately. While we will do our utmost to assist you, please note that the hotel or its team members are not liable for any personal lost or stolen belongings. Any unclaimed lost property will be disposed of after 3 months.

Removal of Hotel Property:

We reserve the right to charge guests for replacing any items removed from the premises without consent. The charge will cover the full replacement amount, including any carriage fees. If an item is found missing after departure, we reserve the right to charge the guest’s credit/debit card and send an invoice to the registered address.

Payment Terms:

At Roseate House London, we accept Visa, Master Card and American Express for all reservations, which require confirmation with a valid credit or debit card. No charges will be made unless you fail to check in, in which case the first night’s stay will be charged. For ‘Non-Refundable’ rates, the entire amount will be charged as per the cancellation policy. Alternatively, a deposit may be sent to secure your reservation.

Smoking Policy:

The Roseate Edinburgh is a non-smoking hotel. There is a designated smoking area outside the hotel for the convenience of our guests. We reserve the right to charge the card used to secure your booking for additional cleaning costs or loss of revenue due to smoking in the hotel. Failure to comply with our smoking policy may result in termination of your stay.

Fire Safety / Tampering with Fire Detection:

In the unexpected event of a fire, kindly follow the guidance of our trained team members and read the instructions posted on the walls near the staircases. Your safety is our top priority. We reserve the right to take action against anyone tampering with fire detection equipment. Guests found tampering with fire safety equipment will be charged for any related costs and may be asked to leave the hotel. Severe cases may involve police intervention. If tampering is discovered after departure, we reserve the right to charge the guest’s credit/debit card or send an invoice to the registered address.

Pet Policy:

We are a dog-friendly hotel and welcome pets in all rooms. Stay for pets includes a dog bed, treats, and bowls at an additional charge of £30. Dogs are permitted in the Garden & Conservatory but not in The Dunstane Restaurant & Bar. A delightful Pet Menu is available via room service.

Energy Conservation: Please help us reduce energy usage by turning off lights, heating, and cooling when you leave your room. Unplug chargers and electronics when not in use. | Water Conservation: While we understand that a luxurious experience is important for you, we encourage you to reuse your bath linen if possible to conserve water. Our housekeeping team will be pleased to refresh on request. | Minimize Waste: Please use recycling bins provided in your room and throughout the hotel. Reduce the use of disposable plastic with our eco-friendly alternatives. | Promote Sustainable Transport: We encourage guests to use nearby public transport hubs, buses, trains, or bicycles. | Enjoy Sustainable Dining: Discover delicious vegan and vegetarian options on our website. Right of Admission:

We reserve the right to admission in compliance with applicable laws and admission can be refused to any person viz. who is threat to the security of the Hotel property and its guests or is unruly or in intoxicated state etc. which shall not be arbitrary or discriminatory. This policy will be enforced fairly and non-discriminatorily.

Service Charge:

An optional service charge of 12.5% on food and beverages and 5% on accommodation is added to recognize and reward exceptional service. It is distributed among all members of the Roseate Hotel team. If you prefer not to pay it, you may request the removal of service charge from your bill or invoice.

Restaurant Reservations:

For parties over four people, card details are required to secure an afternoon tea reservation at our Dunstane Bar & Restaurant. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please notify us 48 hours in advance. A charge of £10 per person will be applied to the credit card on file for no-shows or late cancellations.
