A fascinating whisky story

We invite whisky lovers and whisky connoisseurs to embark on a journey of knowledge & adventure at Roseate House London. The guests can join us at The Hyde Bar for a guided whisky tasting session and discover a selection of interesting whiskies. Each whisky has a story to tell, its flavours, the distillery and more. At the end of the immersive session, guests can enjoy a delicious whisky cocktail paired with canapés and a cheese platter.

Our Whisky Experience package includes:
– Whisky Tasting Experience at The Hyde Bar that features
tasting of 4 whiskies including Balvenie 17 Years Old and The Balvenie 14 Years Old
a brief history of Balvenie whisky production, distillation, maturation, blending and other secrets
finish with a whisky cocktail, canapés and cheese platter

Gin

Fashioned in the style of an immaculate aristocratic drawing room, The Hyde is a real treat for the eyes. Adorned with velvet upholstery, gilded mirrors, oil paintings and chandeliers, it exudes sophistication without pretentiousness.

In addition to a brief introduction into the history of English gin, how it is produced and other secrets presented by one of the expert team members at The Hyde, guests can enjoy tasting three unique English gins with tonic samples before finishing the experience in style with a gin martini, or a gin cocktail of choice and delicious canapés to share.

Macallan

Get to grips with some of the history at the heart of this quintessential Scottish whisky, before learning the fundamentals of how the whisky is produced, distilled and matured to perfection. Then it’s time to enjoy the flavours of some of Macallan’s finest blends. Starting with The Macallan Rare Cask, this single malt is a showcase of timeless, polished, rich flavours that resonate on the palate.

Follow with The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old, matured exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez to create richness and complexity. Expect a full-bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours from this iconic single malt.

Those looking to get far away from the madding crowd, can find a haven in The Hyde Bar, where classical luxury is at the forefront of every experience. A mere 5-minute walk from Paddington Station, the charming bar is located in the heart of Roseate House London, a restored mid-19th century mansion overlooking the leafy Westbourne Terrace. Enjoy a brief history of Scotch whisky production and learn about the process: distillation, maturation, blending and other secrets, followed by the best part – tasting The Balvenie’s finest!
